Rajyotsava: Dasara lighting extended till Sunday

Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has extended Dasara lighting till November 1 (Sunday) in view of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

The lighting was scheduled for the end of October 31. However, to add to the festive spirit of the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, the CESC has decided to extend the illumination by a day, till November 1, while the illumination will continue on major circles and prominent roads, a press release said.

The CESC decision is expected to attract further action with November 1 falling on a Sunday, with visitors getting a chance to witness the lighting of the Mysuru Palace as well.

The special lighting attracted a large number of visitors and the city witnessed a traffic jam during the festivities.
