Actor Rajpal Yadav, who left Delhi’s Tihar Jail on bail on Tuesday after spending several days there in connection with a check bounce case, urged for the modernization of jails and rehabilitation of those who have already served 10 or more years in jail.
Rajpal Yadav said: “We often don’t know who is really a criminal and who is respectable. But I have noticed one thing: wherever people are punished, our prisons should also be modernized for modern times. For example, there are prisoners who no longer go to court because they have already been convicted. Their behavior and behavior is monitored for ten years.”
“For such prisoners, especially those who have served 10-15 years, at least a 10 percent relief or concession should be considered… It is possible that if even the bottom 10 percent are released or rehabilitated, they could contribute positively back to our country,” he said.
