Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) encouraged the armed forces to remain on standby and be prepared to face the “invisible” challenges of information, ideological, ecological and biological wars.
He said in Calcutta focused on the conference of combined commanders 2025 and said the turbulent global order, regional instability and the evolving security environment required constant evaluation and readiness.
“The nature of the war is constantly evolving. The wars are so sudden and unpredictable today that it is difficult to predict their duration. We must ensure that our surge capacity remains sufficient,” Singh said, emphasizing the importance of the “technology army”.
Vision Sudarshan Chakra
He called on the Indian defensive sector by merging offensive and defensive abilities and called on commanders to work to build a vision of Sudarshan chakra expressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modim. The Committee for the preparation of the medium (five -year) and long -term (10 -year) project travel maps was established.
The Minister emphasized the focus of the government on modernization, surgical readiness, technological superiority and credible deterrence and repeated Mr. Modi’s mantra “Jai (Society, Aatmanirbhart, Innovation)”. He tried to develop technologies ready for the future for deeper cooperation with industry and academy and to expand the participation of the private sector in the defense of innovation.
Mr. Singh, emphasizing initiatives such as logistics nodes of Tri-Service and applications for logistics management of three services, said greater synergies and civilian fusion were essential for meeting the problems. Referring to the Sindoor operation, he said that he has shown that “strength, strategies and self -confidence” are three pillars that would define Indian power in the 21st century.
Mr. Singh, who praised the armed forces for their professionalism and courage, said, “Today we have the ability to face any challenge with indigenous platforms and systems associated with the untamed spirit of our soldiers.
