Rajesh Khimji, who attacked the main Minister Delhi Rekha Gupta on Wednesday, was sent to a five -day police custody. The 41 -year -old was made in court and charged with an attempt to murder.
The Chief Minister Delhi Rekha Gupt was attacked during the program “Jan Sunwai” in her camp in the Civil Lines area on Wednesday around 8.15.

The defendant, Sakriya Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai (41), the inhabitants of Rajkot in Gujarat, was arrested and reserved under an attempt to kill and other charges.

Minister Delhi Pwd Parvesh Verma said that CM Gupta suffered injuries to her hand, shoulder and head.

The head of the police official said: “We are interrogating with IB, special cells and other intelligence agencies. He (Khimjibhai) had five criminal cases, including two offensive cases, including knife attacks and three according to the consumer law registered against it in Gujarat.”
He said that the police have not yet accused Khimjibhai of plot. The accused carried a bag containing clothes and some papers, not a weapon because he knew it would be strict control, the official said.
According to police sources, the man entered the office of the main minister to Raj Niwas Marg as the complainant. During the meeting, he turned to the CM Gupt with a complaint and allegedly slapped it.
“Before someone could come to anything, the man was still attacked by cm. The security guards overcame him and forced him to the ground,” another police official said, adding the accused he grabbed the main minister’s hair so firmly that the police staff tried to save.

“He loves dogs, cows and birds. Therefore, he was upset after SC said that all strange dogs in Delhi should be captured,” she said, adding that he visited Haridwar a few days ago and told her to go to Delhi to participate in the protests against the command.
Police sources said that the Ministry of the Interior is likely to review CM GUPTY security measures after the police submit a detailed report on the incident.
