Officer Ias Rajesh Agrawal on Wednesday (October 1, 2025) took over the accusations as a secretary, the Ministry of Commerce, the official statement said.
Followed by Sunil Barthwal, who retired on 30 September.
Mr. Agrawal is a perfect manager with three decades of experience in the field of public administration, policy creation and implementation in various sectors, including skills, power, fertilizers, agriculture and MSME.
Before his current task, he supervised Indian business negotiations with different countries on the basis of free trade agreements.
He was the main negotiator of the bilateral trade agreement in India-USA, Indo-Pacifik Economic Forum, India-Australia Ceca and review ASEAN FTA.
He was also in charge of promoting exports for agriculture and allied sectors.
