
Rajeev Shukla is going to take over as President BCCI (Council of Criket Control in India) as the reigning president, Roger Binny is approaching the age limit. Shukla currently holds the position of Vice President of the cricket council and will take over for another 3 months as a temporary president.
Roger Binny, who is also a member of the Indian World Cup team from 1983, has 19 July this year for 70 years. Therefore, it will overcome the age limit of the position of the President set out in the BCCI Constitution. Today, India learned that Rajeev Shukla would be chaired to occupy the free position until a new person was elected for the weighing position.
Binny was elected as President BCCI in 2022 when he took over from Sourava Ganguly. The legendary sailor represented the country in 27 tests and 72 ODI, after taking a total of 124 goals. He played a key role in the Indian historical triumph of the 1983 World Championship, such as the highest goal of the tournament with 18 goals from eight shifts.
