
Royal Challengers Bengalur, Captain Rajat Patidar, revealed how the presence and encouragement of Virat Kohli’s leader helped him relax in the captain’s role before IPL 2025.
When he spoke at the RCB podcast, a 26 -year -old man shared that taking over the party representing the legendary Kohli brought his own weight. But Kohli assured him Has become a leading roleSomething that helped Patidar to take responsibility with more certainty.
“I have seen him (Kohli) since I started watching TV, in IPL, outside the field, in the Indian team … to take the thing (captain’s plaque) that he has been doing for so many years … and he gave me.” Patidar said.
“Then he said a few words like,” You deserve it, you earned it.
Patidar led RCB one of their most convenient campaigns in recent years. Given that franchise is currently second in the table of points with 16 points out of 11 matches, it is on play -offs within reach. While his personal appearance with the bat fluctuated – scoring 239 runs in 11 matches – his leadership was Standout for the team.
Before IPL 2025, Patidar has already been tested in the leading capacity when Captain Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. However, the current RCB season is still its biggest challenge of leadership. As the tournament continues on May 17th, Bengaluru is ready for three key accessories – starting with a home clash against Kalkata Knight, followed by matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants – all determining their way to play -offs.
