While March 15 was initially earmarked as the starting date for their preparations for IPL 2026, the full team camp will now officially begin on March 17 here at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium (SMS). Led by head coach and director of cricket Kumar Sangakkara, the camp will focus on fostering team bonding, intensive training and planning along with strength and training sessions. Earlier, a smaller group of players including Ravi Bishnoi, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Sandeep Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja attended a short fitness assessment camp at the franchise’s High Performance Center in Nagpur. The Jaipur camp will see the full Royals squad meet for the first time before the season, including new recruits like Jadeja and Sam Curran. The Royals are likely to fly from Jaipur to Guwahati on March 26 before the start of the season. They are scheduled to play their first three matches at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium against Chennai Super Kings (March 30), Mumbai Indians (April 7) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (April 10).
