Rajasthan city poll results: Victory of truth over echoes of lies, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (September 14, 2026) hailed the BJP’s victory in Rajasthan’s municipal body elections, saying the victory was proof of the victory of truth over the “echoes of lies”.

The BJP emerged ahead of the Congress in Rajasthan’s municipal body elections, winning 4,179 wards against the opposition’s 3,613 and securing a clear majority in four of the state’s 10 municipal corporations.

“Sincere gratitude to the public for ensuring a clear victory for the BJP in the local body elections in Rajasthan. This is a testament to the victory of truth over echoes of lies,” Mr Modi said in a post on X in Hindi.

The Prime Minister said that this mandate from the people has once again made it clear that the policy of good governance and development has their full support.

Mr. Modi said that this win will further strengthen BJP’s resolve to take the state to new heights of progress and bring happiness in the life of every individual.

“On this occasion, we congratulate all the winning candidates as well as the dedicated and hardworking party workers many times,” he said.
