The Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Saturday (December 13, 2025) conducted a simulated idle operation at the Rajahmundry Airport in view of the possibility of flight delays and disruption due to fog during the ongoing winter season.
In an official statement, Rajahmundry Airport Director NK Sreekanth said personnel from Air Traffic Control, India Meteorological Department, IndiGo Airlines, Alliance Air, Ground Handling Agencies (GHA) and Heligo Charters participated in the dry operation.
Mr. Sreekanth said that dry running would be very beneficial to ensure safe, efficient and smooth air traffic management, even in adverse weather conditions in future.
