The Meghalaya court handed over Sonama RaghuvanShi and her alleged lover Raj Singh Kushwaha for the next two days of police ties.
Both are accused of murdering Sonam’s husband, entrepreneur Raja Raghuvanki of Indore Madhya Pradesh, near a cascade in Meghalayin Sohra 23 May.
The Sessions Court in Shilllong also sent three other accused in the case of murder – Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi – for 14 days of judgment.

All five were made in court on Thursday (June 19, 2025) in the evening after eight days of police custody.
On Tuesday, the State Police (SIT) special investigation team completed the reconstruction of the crime scene, which led to the recovery of the second machete suspicious that it was used in murder. The machete was found near the fall of Weisawdong.
Sit has explored many places from the parking lot in Mawlakhiat, where the accusations parked their rented two -wheel, on the Weisawdong parking lot, about 25 km away, where a crime was committed. The police said the accused hacked Raja to death in the parking lot near the fall of Weisawdong and threw his body into the neighboring ravine.
On June 18, the police team visited Meghalaya Sonam’s mother stay in Indore and interrogated his family members for at least two hours. The team also visited her brother, Govind’s office and family plywood within the probe.
The investigation has expanded to several places, including Varanasi, where Sonam reportedly traveled in suspicious circumstances. The police also received a declaration of resident Ghazipur took Yadav, who claimed to see Sonama at the Varanasi bus terminal accompanied by two unidentified men.
Raja and Sonam were married on May 11th. His distributed body was found 2 June.
