In the middle of intensifying the efforts to bring back Indian nationals stuck in Iran, the older couple in the capital of Chhattisgar Raipur expressed concern about their married daughter, who lives in a died country with his husband and two sons.
In the last call of WhatsApp, which they had with their daughter Aiman Zaid, 28, Wednesday (June 18, 2025), Kasim Raza (60 years old) and his wife Shaheen (55) heard her sobs and asks to save her.
The couple claim that there has been no communication since then, which is increasingly concerned about every next day.
“We discussed the evolving situation (referring to the Iranian-Israeli military conflict) and initially both sides tried to reassure each other that things would be fine. But before the call, my daughter urged us to take her from QOM (in the northern center of Iran) and brought her to India.”
Mr. Raza is the driver of the central prison of Raipur and the family lives in accommodation of employees in the prison area. He said in 2017 Mrs. Aiman married Ejaz Zaidi of Damoh in Madhya Pradesh, who is written in the religious education program “Maulviyat” in Iran. The following year, Mrs. Aiman also moved to Iran and has lived there since.
After her last conversation with her daughter, Mrs. Raza tried to call again, but without success. Based on what they heard in television news and other media, the couple believe that in the area where the Mrs. Aiman family lived, there could be an internet shutdown alongside several other Indian families. Mr. Ejaz was to plan to fly to India for the Muharram 13 festival, June, the day Israel began an attack on Iran that caused this conflict. His flight was canceled as a result, they remembered.
While the overall safety of the family remains the primary problem, the couple also fears because of the deteriorating condition of the thyroid gland and wonders whether it would be in this state of emergency any medical attention.
So far, they have not requested any formal request for the authorities, but they stated that they could do so if Mrs. Aiman remained non -communikado.
