The Minister of Transport and the Hyderabad district, which is entrusted with Ponnam Prabhakar, stressed that rainwater harvesting was a social responsibility, not only an official task, and called on GHMC, Hydraa and Water Board to prepare a complex water management plan to ensure that every rain drop is absorbed.
Together with the mayor of Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, the Minister examined the preliminary measures taken within the external limits of a circular road to prevent floods. He urged public awareness and, if necessary, promoted that the inhabitants would force the recruitment of pit and other methods of protection.
The Minister said that proactive measures taken by the government led by the main Minister A. Revant Reddy have so far prevented the loss of life and property. While he acknowledged that certain areas were facing lightning floods and disturbances of traffic due to heavy short -term rains, he assured that the main plan was ready to provide permanent solutions for traffic jams and flood problems that have persisted for decades.
Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar said he would remain available 24/7 to respond to the extraordinary events that were submitted. He also warned against strict measures against dumping of construction and demolition waste in lakes, ponds and unlaps and ordered GHMC to take all preventive measures against seasonal diseases. Commissioner GHMC RV Karnan, Water Board MD Ashok Reddy and Hydraa Chief MV Ranganath were present.
