
Parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed light showers on Friday morning. Several other regions will witness light rain and gusty winds for some time as overcast skies signal a drop in mercury, the India Meteorological Department has issued a new season warning.
A post on X said, “Light scattered rain/drizzle (20-30 kmph gusty winds) is very likely to continue at many places in Delhi and NCR.
Forecasting wet weather in neighboring Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, he added, “Light rainfall (30-40 kmph gusty winds) is very likely to continue in Sohana, Palwal, Nuh, Aurangabad, Hodal, Panipat (Haryana), Modinagar, Gu Kithor, Garhmukteshwar, Pilikandra, Pilikandra, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, Khurja, Pahasu, Gabhana, Jattari, Khair, Aligarh, Nandgaon, Iglas, Deoband, Nazibabad, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Kandhla, Bijnaur, Khatauli (UP) Bhiwari, Tizara (Rajasthan) within the next 2 hours.”
In its latest weather bulletin, the Met Office predicted “generally cloudy skies” for Thursday with very light rain or drizzle accompanied by thunder and lightning from morning to mid-morning and again from afternoon to evening.
