Wednesday’s downpour combined with thunderstorms and hail ended a dry April. The city, which did not receive any rainfall during the month, recorded 111 mm of rainfall.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, Bengaluru city station recorded 111 mm rainfall till 8.30 pm, while Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) recorded trace rainfall and HAL airport received 24.7 mm till 5.30 pm.
