Rain brings relief to farmers in Telangana’s Karimnagar
Intermittent rain lashed several parts of the former Karimnagar combined district on Monday (September 14, 2026), bringing relief to farmers amid fears of lack of rainfall affecting their crops.
Antargaon and Kamanpur mandals in Peddpalli district have received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours.
In Karimnagar district, overnight rain caused waterlogging in Kothagattu, Gollapalli and neighboring villages in Shankarapatnam mandal.
A portion of the approach road over Rallavaga at Quarry Road in Mancherial was partially damaged after heavy rain, disrupting vehicular movement to several villages in neighboring Hajipur mandal, sources said.
Meanwhile, overburden mining and coal mining at several surface projects (OCPs) of Singareni Collieries Company Limited in the coal belt remained affected by the slushy conditions at the sites, sources added.
