
The Minister of the Union for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday emphasized a sharp increase in the budget for the Karnataka rail projects since 2014 and attributed the premiere of Narendra Modi for a change.
Vaishnaw, who dealt with the assembly after Mr. Modi inaugurated the yellow line of the Namma Metro, said Karnataka received only about 835 Crore per year for railway work before 2014.
He added that 61 railway stations in the state are modernized within the AMRIT Bharat system, which aims to upgrade equipment and infrastructure.

After focusing on the electronic sector, Mr. Vaishnaw, who is also the Minister of Trade Unions for Information and Broadcasting and Electronics and Information Technology, he said that Indian electronics production has spread to 12 Lakh Crore six times during this period. “Ten years ago, the idea of India’s electronics exported seemed very attractive. Today, the country is the second largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world, with Bengaluru’s Devanahalli appearing as an important center for the production of iPhone,” he said.
According to the minister, the pressure of the Prime Minister on “Viksit Bharat 2047” brought nationwide benefits, including Karnataka.
Bengaluru leads in AI
Vaishnaw, which emphasized the initiatives to make advanced technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), said India AI missions provides 34,000 GPUs as a shared computing source for innovators across the country. “Bengaluru is one of the largest users of this device. Costs are less than one US dollar per hour, making it the most affordable computing source in the world,” he said.
He also pointed out the efforts of the startup of Sarvam based on Bengalur, which develops a native large language model trained on large data sets in several Indian languages. This AI system, said, is designed to be without bias and reflects Indian language diversity.
