Indian Railways decided to operate more than 12,000 special trains for the comfort of passengers during Deepavali and CHHhat.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that after discussions with Deputy Chief Minister Bihar by Samrat Chaudhary, MEP Sanjay Jaiswal, Minister of Trade Unions Lalan Singh and MEP Sanjay Kumar Jha, it was decided to make special agreements for the upcoming Deepavali and Chath Festivals. He stressed that passengers should also be facilitated during the return trip.
“After consultations with the leaders of the public, it was decided that more than 12,000 special trains would be operated for Deepavali and CHHhat. At the same time, proper care will be given to keep the passengers to read during their return journey,” Vaishnaw said.
He said that passengers who participate in the road between 13 to 26 October and 26 October from 17 November to 1 December will be offered a 20% discount on return tickets.
In addition, four new AMRIT Bharat Express trains from gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, Chhapry to Delhi and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad would be introduced. A new district train, covering important places related to Lord Buddha and eating, would also be launched, especially the middle -class families, covering Vaisali, Hajipur, Sonepur, Patna, Rajgir, Gaya and Koderma, Mr. Vaishnaw announced.
The Buxar-Laskisarai railway section would be extended to four line corridor, allowing more train operations. A railway system of the rings would be developed around Patna. Sultanganj and Deoghar would be connected by a track. There would also be a new train service between Patna and Ayodhya. In Laukaha Bazaar would be set up a pit and work would be carried out on several newly approved roads in Bihar, said Mr. Vaishnaw.
