Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is acting as a “tool” for anti-India forces directed from foreign countries by raising questions about the Election Commission of India and the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of electoral rolls, BJP president Nitin Nabin said on Saturday (Oct 24, 2026).

The BJP chief was speaking to party workers and leaders during the Jharkhand state executive committee meeting in Ranchi. He urged people to remain vigilant, saying instability was spreading across the country.

“Rahul Gandhi is working as a tool for anti-national forces which are being run from abroad. He is raising questions about ECI and SIR. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi and Congress that when full time was given to file complaints and objections to voter list, how many Congress workers filed complaints as part of this process? In fact they have no concern for the concerned people of Nabin in the country.”

“No Congress support for Jharkhand students”

While the Congress claims to support students and youth, no Congress leaders have raised their voice on behalf of the student movement in Jharkhand, Mr. Nabin said. The Congress is part of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government in the state.

“When the student movement was going on in Jharkhand, not a single Congress leader was ready to raise his voice. The people of the country have now recognized this duplicitous nature of the Congress sitting in Delhi and talking about the students and youth. During the Congress, the education system of the country was dominated by mafia,” said Mr. Nabin.

The BJP president said that attempts are being made to challenge constitutional institutions and democracy in the country.

“Those who invoke the Constitution should remember that it is the Congress that has done the most to break the sanctity of the Constitution. These people have administered the Constitution in accordance with their family. From imposing Emergency to eroding moral values in the country, Congress has done it all. They have spread anarchy in the country,” Mr Nabin said.

“Lotus Blooms in Jharkhand”

He also attacked the state government led by Hemant Soren and alleged that a corruption game was being played in Jharkhand. He added that law and order has completely failed in the state.

Expressing confidence that the BJP will once again form the government in Jharkhand, Mr. Nabin asserted that the party leadership is present in every corner of Jharkhand.

“We just need to give it some time. I am fully confident that the BJP workers are all set to blossom the lotus in Jharkhand,” he said.

He cited the example of BJP’s electoral victory in West Bengal despite adverse circumstances, led by BJP workers who showed bravery in their struggle, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Mr. Nabin reminded that Jharkhand was created by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and directed the state BJP leadership and party workers to resolve to take Jharkhand forward and tighten their belts. No party has shown the tribal community as much respect as the BJP, he said, pointing out that India got its first tribal woman president in Droupadi Murma under the leadership of the BJP.

The BJP chief held a joint meeting with the party’s district presidents and district officers from all the 31 organizational constituencies of the state. Jharkhand BJP president Aditya Sahu, national joint general secretary (organisation) Saudan Singh, state in-charge Gajendra Singh Patel and state leader of opposition Babulal Marandi were also present.
