On Wednesday, Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) criticized China that China had stopped the offer of “specialized fertilizers”, the opposition leader in Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
“India is an agricultural country and our farmers are the backbone of the economy. This backbone is now bent due to foreign dependence,” said Mr. Gandhi on Wednesday (July 2, 2025).
“India imports 80 percent of specialized fertilizers from China. However, they have suddenly stopped the offer,” Congress’s leader said, sharing a news report that claims that China has ceased to supply fertilizers and affected Indian farmers.
Farmers have already fought with the lack of necessary fertilizers, including urea and diamonium phosphate (DAP), and now they had to deal with the “Chinese crisis” in special fertilizers, Mr. Gandhi said.
“The Prime Minister can get his photograph printed on fertilizer bags, while farmers are dependent on” produced in China “. There was no preparation, although these supplies can stop at any time. When domestic production had to be supported, no plan was prepared,” Congress’s leader said.
“Will farmers now depend on others and in their own country?” Mr. Gandhi said and added that farmers “drowning losses and frustration” questioned the paradigm of development.
