In order to make a statement that all communities suffered the same in Poonch, Mr. Gandhi also met students of Jamia Zia-ul-Aulom, Poonch and Mohammad Iqbal, a teacher who was killed during cross-border shelling. He also examined Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudware, Poonch.
Referring to the false news that IQball was a terrorist of several media channels, Mr. Gandhi assured family justice and expanded their support in the face of misinformation.

“Don’t worry, everything will return to normal,” Mr. Gandhi told the locals.
Mr. Gandhi was seen to embark on damaged houses affected by the shell to assess the range of damage. Several locals complained of poor compensation in the face of devastation on a large scale.

“It’s a great tragedy. People have died. I have heard them. They want me to raise a few things on national level. I’ll do it,” Gandhi said. “Their pain will not be unheard of. We promise to intensify their voices, demand justice, dignity and peace,” he added.

Mr. Gandhi said he witnessed stories of broken houses, scattered things, tear eyes and painful losses of loved ones in every corner. “These patriotic families bear the onslaught of war with courage and dignity every time. Hello their durability,” he added.
Meanwhile, the President of the J&K Congress Committee J&K Pradesh Tariq Hamid Karra said that Mr. Gandhi was the first national leader to come here. “We expect Pakistan to remain committed to suburbations, although questions have been raised – why third countries have announced it despite government policy of any interventions of third parties,” Karra said.
