Virat kohli and r ashwin (x) In a strange reversal of cricket and misconception, two separate incidents showed how complex phone numbers could be for players and fans. Recently, in Chhattisgarh, a man bought a new SIM card to find out that it was once used by Royal Challengers Bengaluru dough Rajat Patidar. Soon the phone buzzed calls from no one other than the virat kohli and ab de villiers. As soon as Patidar got the wind about the situation, the man informed the police and the man eventually returned SIM. When he talked about the story on his YouTube channel, former India off-Spinner R Ashwin shared a similar experience. He said he recently received a message WhatsApp from an unknown issue claiming to be New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings Batter Devon Conway. Initially Ashwin believed it could be real. But when the person asked him for the Viroat Kohli number, doubts began to sink. To test the situation Ashwin shared an inactive number for Kohli. Then he accidentally asked about a bat, who allegedly gave Conway. The answer came back that the bat was “good”, which was confirmed by Ashwin’s suspicion – because he actually never gave Conway any bat at all.

Have you ever received a call or message designed for someone else?
Ashwin quickly blocked this number and checked the Chennai Super Kings communication channels just to confirm it was a fake account. Both incidents show how easily the personification can happen and how crickets must be careful about who they really speak at the other end of the line.
