He said he recently received a message WhatsApp from an unknown issue claiming to be New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings Batter Devon Conway. Initially Ashwin believed it could be real. But when the person asked him for the Viroat Kohli number, doubts began to sink. To test the situation Ashwin shared an inactive number for Kohli. Then he accidentally asked about a bat, who allegedly gave Conway. The answer came back that the bat was “good”, which was confirmed by Ashwin’s suspicion – because he actually never gave Conway any bat at all.
