Government measures to increase women’s participation

PM Modi assured that the central government’s decisions are driven by the welfare of women and the new plan to set up girls’ STEM hostels in every district could significantly boost education and innovation among women.

He mentioned that the training of 150,000 caregivers in the next year and the expanding institutions for allied health professionals will formalize care work, which is mostly confined to the informal sector.

The prime minister said the training of caregivers would create decent, certified jobs for women while strengthening India’s healthcare capabilities.

He noted that this year’s budget also covers developing sectors of the economy. By establishing AVGC Content Creator Labs in 15,000 schools and 500 colleges and developing formal creative infrastructure, the government is ensuring that industries such as animation, VFX, games and digital content will see unprecedented female participation.

“These are sunrise sectors and women’s participation will make them even more vibrant,” PM Modi said.

He mentioned that from the birth of the girl child to the realization of women’s aspirations, the government has introduced initiatives and reforms supporting women at every stage.

“Be it Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat, scholarships for girls, Prime Minister Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, MUDRA or Prime Minister Surakshit Matritva Yojana, our government’s flagship programs address the needs and aspirations of women,” he said.

The Prime Minister said the government was launching an initiative that would use innovative financial models to support community-owned retail outlets.

“When women control market access, supply chains and retail platforms, they move up the value chain. This directly lowers barriers to access to capital, market access and scale,” he said.

Key takeaways from PM Modi’s bid

One of the biggest takeaways from the quote is that women’s empowerment is critical to national development. This sentence emphasizes that India’s journey to becoming a Viksit Bharat cannot be achieved without women playing a central role in shaping its economic growth and social progress. It further emphasizes the importance of providing women with equal opportunities, education, resources and decision-making power.

For a woman of this country, the key is that your ambition and contribution to the goal of Viksit Bharat really matters. This quote must encourage women to step forward, lead and fully engage in society. PM Modi’s quote is a signal that a woman’s education, career choices, ideas and self-confidence are not just personal goals, but part of something bigger that helps shape the future of this country.
