“Quality Seeds and Scientific Sowing” Fair on May 26 at Ballari

Ballari District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BDCCI) in collaboration with the district administration and various ministries and agricultural organizations will organize an agricultural fair on the theme ‘Quality Seeds and Scientific Sowing’ on May 26 at the APMC premises in Ballari.

BDCCI President Avvaru Manjunath and Honorary Secretary KC Suresh Babu while addressing presspersons in Ballari on Saturday said that the fair is being organized with the cooperation of zilla panchayat, Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Fisheries, Irrigation and Animal Husbandry, Ballari District Cotton Association, Karnataka State Balls’ Ballari’s Agro In Traders Association, Ballari Dalali Traders Association, Kannada Nadu Raitha Sangha and various farmer groups.

“The program would begin at 9 am with a farmers’ assembly accompanied by cultural ensembles. The fair will be inaugurated by Agriculture Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy. District Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan and Raichur University of Agricultural Sciences Vice Chancellor M. Hanumanthappa, S. AG, Agricultural Scientists Rainivas will be the chief guests. Bheemanna will deliver lectures as resource persons during the fair,” said Mr. Manjunath, adding that it is expected, that nearly 10,000 farmers from different parts of the district will participate in the fair.

A brochure on the agricultural fair was also released during the press conference.
