
The PV Sindhu struggles continued in the 2025 season when the double Olympic medalist collapsed in the second round of the Badminton Asia championship in Ningbu on Zhejiang on Thursday, April 10.
Sindu launched a campaign at the prestigious Asian championships with a direct victory over Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo from Indonesia.
However, out-of-form shuttles could not maintain its intensity in the second round, which expanded to an hour and six minutes. Yamaguchi won the opening game 21-12, saying that the sindhu path too much. The Indian shutter, however, gave her everything against his well-known enemy, in the second game defeated it 21-16 and forced the referee.
There were a long gathering, reminiscent of classic Sindu and Yamaguchi matches from the past. Sindu, however, was unable to close it and lose the last set of 16-21 and the match in three games.
So far, Sindu had a difficult season. After reaching the quarterfinals of India in January, Sindu suffered three exits from the first round (Indonesia Masters, All England Open, Open Open) before the Asian championship.
Singly’s campaign ends
With the East of Sindho, the Indian Single campaign ended when Kiran George and Priyanshu Rajawat also lost their second round. Earlier on Wednesday, HS prannoy and kind dream were shown doors in the first round.
Formerly on Thursday, Priyanshu Rajawat lost in direct games 14-21 17-21 against the world issue seven and the fifth seed of Kodai Naraoka in Japan in the Mens Singles competition.
Kiran George lost 21-19 13-21 16-21 on world number five and the fifth seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand.
The quarterfinals, however, entered the mixed pair of doubles Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto and defeated Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan from Taipei 12-21 21-16 21-18. Chapel and Crasto will face the next Fifth CHUN TANG and YING SUET TSE from Hong Kong.
