The President of the Congress Committee of Keral Pradesh (KPCC) Sunny Joseph said that the whole Indian Trinamool Congress (AITC) Kerala State Conventner PV Anvar was to refuse Aryadan Shoukath because the candidate for the unified democratic front (UDF) was “unacceptable”.
He addressed the media here on Wednesday, Mr. Joseph asked Mr. Anvar to agree with the UDF policies. He said that the selection of Mr. Shoukath as a candidate in Nilambur is a unanimous decision of Congress.
“We could not convene a formal meeting of the State Election Committee of the State. Thus, the management of the congress was a discussion and achieved a consensus on a candidate who subsequently announced the national leadership of Congress,” he said.
Mr. Joseph asked how a person who wanted to become part of UDF could make “careless statements” as Mr. Anvar. “Mr. Anvar should give a clear answer to it.”
He said Mr. Anvar raised objections to the politicians of the LDF government as he left LDF and resigned like MLA.
“Who can attack these policies in the People’s Court and give the failure to the LDF Government? It is very clear in Kerala Politics. UDF is a coalition with a strong support of people that can take strong steps against LDF inside and outside the assembly.
