Ukrainian President Volodymyr urged the international community to increase pressure on Russia because the war is still escalating.
He described the latest wave of Russian attacks in detail, including drone strikes and artillery shelling after several regions.
“A total of 55 people were injured by the strike as a result of this strike, of which 5 children were given help. Two people lost their lives tragically,” he said.
He also stressed that Russian forces attacked Chercas, Kherson, Nonetsk, Zeporizhzhia, Dnipro, Sum and Charkivské areas with controlled bombs, drones and artillery.
“The geography and brutality of Russian strikes, not only occasionally, but literally every day and night, show that Putin could not take care of diplomacy less,” he said.
Requires increased sanctions and air defense
Zelena called on allies to take harder measures against Russia, including other sanctions and improved air defense systems for Ukraine.
“Russia deserves increased pressure – all hard measures that may disrupt its ability to wage war and maintain a system that wants nothing but war,” he said.
He reiterated that ongoing international support is necessary and emphasizes cooperation with American and European partners.
“We expect the United States, Europe and all our other partners who are really looking for peace and guaranteed safety will use all the necessary tools,” he added.
International support is growing
The Ukrainian leader recognized a new defense, including a significant package from France.
“There are new defensive packages for Ukraine – the biggest this week is 2 billion euros of France,” Zelsky said.
He also noticed progress in the defensive industry of Ukraine, especially in the production of drones.
“Our warriors have achieved good results in the use of certain types of drones to protect our cities,” he said.
Pressure on Russia must continue
He reiterated that the war continued because of Russian negotiations and called for continued pressure to force the solution.
“The world knows that Russia is the only cause – the cause of why the war lasted so many years,” he said.
Finally, he emphasized the need for security guarantees for Ukraine and the whole of Europe.
“Security must be guaranteed to those that Russia attacked – specifically Ukrainians and all Europeans. And that will happen,” he said.
