‘Pushpa Yagam’, ‘Akalmasha Homam’ performed as part of the nine-day ritual at Tirupati

The ‘Pushpa Yagam’ and ‘Akalmasha Homam’ were conducted on the eighth day of the ongoing nine-day ‘Bharatha Vishwaguru Sankalpa Siddhi Mahayagam’ at Puttur Siddhartha Educational Group campus in Tirupati district on Tuesday.

The nine-day ritual is performed to make India a global superpower. Rituals like ‘Varuna Yagam’ and ‘Srinivasa Kalyanotsavam’ were witnessed by many devotees.

“The Akalmasha Homam is meant to remove bad thoughts from the minds of individuals and to address various forms of division in society, while the Pushpa Yagam observed at the end of the event is meant to offset any negative effects of lapses in rituals observed during the eight days,” said Siddhartha Educational Group chairman K. Ashok Raju.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president PVN Madhav participated in the Pushpa Yagam. He carried a basket of flowers on his head and offered them to the priests to use in the ritual. TTD Board Member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy was also present.

The Mahayagam ends on Wednesday with the “Poornahuthi” ritual.
