The District Administration urges the farmers in the district of Sri Satya Sai, which is the most difficult region in India extended drought to accept nano urea.
Since farmers are trying to protect their cultivation practices in rising costs and decreasing the availability of water, administration, the council of agricultural scientists, they assured them that nano urea is cost -effective and excellent accessory to chemical fertilizers.
The District Collector TS Chetan said the administration had embarked on a mission to support Nano urea in the dry mandals. “With irregular precipitation and inconsistency in groundwater, each drop of water and each kilogram of fertilizers. Agriculture research has shown that nano urea will help save up to 25% of urea and at the same time their yields will not suffer any reduction.
Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture said that the field tests in Andhra Pradesh achieved success with stunning results and effectiveness of crop formulas. “For rice, corn, cotton and sesame, 75% of the recommended nitrogen plus two spray nano urea caused 100% nitrogen yields. This means that farmers can significantly reduce fertilizer costs and also maintain healthy production.”
Farmers who participated in the nano urea sensitization programs said that savings are essential for them, taking into account the impact of drought in the region. Ramanna Reddy, farmers of the loud oil in Bukkapathnam, said they could not afford to spend hard to spend the fertilizers when irrigation is uncertain. “Last year I used nano urea and my harvest was almost the same. This helped reduce the cost of entering at least a quarter,” he added.
Gowthami from Penuond said, “In growing sesame, Nano Urea brought us similar revenues with a smaller number of fertilizer bags.” Acceptance of nano urea would definitely lead to good savings, which is essential for agriculture nutrition in the area of drought, such as the SATHYA SAI district, she said.
A scientist of agriculture, part of the sensitization program, warned that nano urea was not a complete substitute for soil fertilizer. “The sprays themselves cannot replace the basal application. Nano urea is just a supplement and not a substitute,” he said.
In order to effectively fight the impact of permanent drought, the district administration is planning to integrate Nano urea with measures for drought assistance, planning of emergency crops and campaigns to raise the awareness of farmers.
Collector Chetan stressed that long -term resistance consists of sustainable practices: “We asked off -road officials to sensitize farmers to balance modern solutions such as nano urea, with traditional wisdom in water and soil protection.
