Punjab Police busted a cross-border smuggling network and arrested four operatives and recovered four sophisticated live ammunition pistols from their possession.
Preliminary investigations show that the arrested accused were working on the instructions of a Pakistani smuggler who organized the cross-border movement of arms into Punjab, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday (22 Oct 205).

He said that an FIR has been registered at the Police Station, SSOC, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to uncover and dismantle the entire network, including its backward and forward links, the DGP said.
