As governance deficiencies and administrative failures continue, public discontent could grow, potentially significantly strengthening the opposition and giving it room to emerge as a credible alternative force, according to an astrological forecast by renowned scholars.
Renowned scholars Mrutyunjaya Sharma and Phanindra Sharma presented the annual forecast and shared their views at Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsara Ugadi Panchanga Sravanam held at Telangana Bhavan on the occasion of Ugadi. The program was attended by BRS working president KT Rama Rao besides MLAs, MLCs, MPs and senior leaders.
Researchers have also expressed concern that the ongoing changes in education policy could adversely affect students and possibly lead the youth astray. Unless corrective measures are taken, unemployment could rise further, they warned.
On a positive note, pundits have predicted favorable rainfall during the year leading to full tanks and reservoirs. Crops such as paddy, cotton and maize are likely to yield well and the number of farmer suicides may decrease. They also predict possible increases in gold, silver and food prices, while vegetable prices may see some reduction. Scientists have clarified that the impact of solar and lunar eclipses will not significantly affect India this year.
