The health department will start the program for all training in cardio lung resuscitation (CPR) September 29, World Heart Day.
Volunteer workers, Kudumbashree members, drivers, population associations, members of various armed forces and educational institutions and the public would all become CPR training in phases, so every person is carried out to carry out this life during the emergency measure.
CPR is an emergency procedure to save life/first aid executed when a person suffers from cardiac arrest, a health emergency situation in which the heart ceases to beat. If the CPR is properly administered, it can help keep the person alive by maintaining blood flow until the emergency hospitalization or automated external defibrillator (AED) to restore the person’s heart rhythm and bringing back to life.
CPR training for all is attended by a medical department after fully understanding the importance of this measure to rescue life, Minister of Health Veen George said in a statement.
CPR includes chest compression (hard and quickly pushing the center of the chest) to maintain blood flow to the brain and organs, next to the rescue breaths to provide air to the lungs. CPR can be initiated if a person does not breathe and does not have a pulse.
Permanent device
The health department will prepare an action plan and modern dummies would be used to prove CPR. A permanent CPR training facility will be established at the Faculty of Medicine using cardiology departments.
The Indian Medical Association and its members will cooperate with the medical department in performing the educational program. Standardized short video for training will be prepared and popular.
