UTTAR Pradesh chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday (July 27, 2025) that public representatives are the most trusted link between people and government.
The main minister made these notes during a special interaction with the Legislators of the Kanpur division in his official residence in Lucknow, the statement said. The interaction was part of a number of meetings at the level of division initiated by the main minister.
Public representatives from six districts – Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Fharrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah and Auraiya – were invited to participate in the meeting.
Adityanath dealt with the assembly and said that the ideas and proposals of public representatives are not only a means of dialogue, but also reflect public aspirations that should be actively integrated into planning and conducting policy.
He asked officials not to treat the experience and regional knowledge of legislators as only as documentary inputs, but to use them as a living basis for politics.
The Chief Minister ordered the Public Works Department (PWD) to set priorities for the proposed work after consulting local representatives and ensure early start of projects.
He described these initiatives not only as government expenditures, but as “capital of public trust”. Mr. Adityanath also issued officials instructions for rapid approval of projects of preferred public representatives, their transparent performance and timely completion of continuous monitoring.
He ordered the city development department to ensure that the names of local public representatives would be included in the endowment stones and plaques related to the work of city development.
According to the statement, the main minister commenced by direct negotiations with each legislature. In his relevant constituencies he sought detailed feedback on ground real estate, public expectations, progress of development work and administrative coordination.
He said that the Kanpur division has a major place in a balanced and sustainable development of the state and describes it not only as an industrial and educational backbone of the state, but also the center of cultural diversity, historical awareness and political commitment to public representatives.
