Sumit Kumar District Collector started the government’s flagship Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra on Saturday in Bangarupal Mandal in the Chittoor district, visited several Hamlets and inspected the initiatives in the hygiene and environment.
The collector, who interacts with the villagers, emphasized the importance of public participation in government programs. “As part of the program, we have created special teams that carry out units for waste management to cover all Panchayat, the municipalities and municipal companies Chittoor. The highest priority is given for segregation and processing of solid waste,” said Sumit Kumar.
The collector inspected the resource renewal center in the village of Palera and spoke with the green ambassadors. The collector said in response to their reference to increase salaries and providing insurance contracts that the ambassadors would receive 10,000 GBP per month, with financing from the 15th Financial Commission and General Panchayat Funds, with effect from April 2025.
The official also organized an inspection meeting with the tank cleaning process using a high -pressure cleaning machine and a monthly cleaning should be mandatory to ensure safe drinking water. He said that strict steps would be taken against employees who found themselves neglecting their duties.
The collector checked the riverbed of the cattle, which was built as part of the NREGA scheme in Bangarupalem. He ordered Panchayat officials that all water troughs should be filled during the summer to provide cattle drinking water. He also inspected the Electronic Waste collection Center for recycling electronics and appliances.
Mr. Sumit Kumar started a summer water kiosk near the Mutualamma Temple and checked the community health center in Bangarupalem.
