Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan
The Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan instructed Panchayat Raj & Development (PR & RD) and rural water supply (RWS) officials to ensure safe drinking water and to maintain cleanliness in the flood areas of the northern coastal districts. He called on operations on a flood with war legs to alleviate the hardships facing people affected by swollen rivers Vamsadhara and Nagavali.
Pawan Kalyan, who focused on a review meeting with PR & RD and RWs on Friday, stressed that hygiene must be preferred and other workers from neighboring districts could be brought if necessary. He asked RWS officials to ensure that residents would not face difficulty in accessing drinking water, and stressed that all water should be compulsory chlorinated to avoid water -transmitted diseases.
Officials reported a representative of CM about heavy rains caused by cyclones, the resulting damage to crops and floods. They added that the Vamsadhara River projects are expected that significant discharges are expected to go to the Vamsadhara River Projects due to great influx of ODisha and that people have been warned and moved to safer places. A representative of CM urged officials to maintain proper coordination in efforts for help and urged to update a continuous update to enable timely actions whenever needed.
