The Indian Federation of Students (SFI) organized a protest march to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University on Wednesday and demanded a review of the controversial system “annual” affecting students of B.Tech according to the 2019 regulations.
The demonstration was opened by the President of SFI M. Sivaprasad. The organization emphasized the widespread concerns about the regulations that students should provide at least 21 credits from the first and second semesters to continue their fifth and 47 credits from the first to fourth semesters to advance to the seventh semester. The system, as SFI claimed, forced many students to either fall out or look for credit transfer to universities in other countries.
After the march, the delegation of the demonstrators met with the protesting Chancellor (authorized) K. Sivaprasad, who agreed to study the problem and consideration of their demand.
