The Samastha Keral Management Association (SKMMA) is planning to carry out “Dharnas” on August 5, and remove the march to Secretariat on September 30 against additional working hours in support, government and recognized unconditional schools that follow the state syllabus.
SKMMA functionaries, associated organizations of the Sunni scientists Samasth Keral Smo-iyathul ULAMA, declared their plans for Congress here on Thursday. Mt Abdulla Musliyar, General Secretary, Samastha Keral Islam Religious Education Board, said religious education is important to believers. The state government had no business with the fact that it was perceived. Before the school hours increase, no interviews were held before the school hours were increased. He claimed that the government could re -organize working hours in schools without manipulating the work plan “Madrasas” that cannot be changed. Mr Musliyar said that by July 20, conventions at the district level against the government at the level of the district will be held and protest events will take place within July.
Working hours for class VIII up to x in these schools increased by 30 minutes – every day and afternoon for days except Friday. This is to implement the target of 220 working days and 1100 teaching hours for class VIII according to the Act on Education and for IX and X Classes according to the rules for Keral education.
E. Moideen Faizy Puthanazhi, the Secretary General of SKMMA, claimed that the government did not bother to deal with the concerns that Samastha in a memorandum underwent Pinarayi Vijayan by his President Syed Jifri Muthukoy Thangal. “The government has made a new timing based on the High Court order. However, the court said nothing about the next lessons. There are other ways to follow 220 working days and 1100 working hours in secondary schools. The government should first conduct interviews,” he added.
Haris Beeran, Deputy Rajya Sabha from the Indian EU Muslim League, claimed that the state government intentionally tried to harm religious feelings of Muslims. “There is no effort to achieve consensus. A similar approach has been seen at the opening of Zumba sessions in schools. There are attempts to introduce neoliberal thoughts and aversion to religion,” he added. Panakkad Syed Hameedali Shihab Thang, treasurer, SKMMA, opened the Convention.
