Activists of the Indian Federation of Students (SFI), students of students ruling CPI (M), organized a protest on Monday before Raj Bhavan against the alleged expression of photographs of RSS leaders in the official governor’s residence.
Some of the protesters tried to come across the Governor’s official residence, but the police quickly stopped them with strength.
Some of the media recently announced the display of RSS founder KB Hedgeware and Golwalker ideologist along with Bharat Mat in Raj Bhavan.
Left student activists, who increased the slogans against Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Alelekar, held photographs of Mahatma Gandhi and Br Ambedkara and insisted on their insertion on the wall of Raj Bhavan.
While they were forcibly moved to a police vehicle, many protesters have been heard that Raj Bhavan is not a personal property of the governor.
Previously, the State Secretary of SFI Sanjeev PS, in the Facebook post, described Mr. Alequar as the leader of the RSS and said that Raj Bhavan was not his predecessor. However, he did not say any further details in the social media.
The fresh line broke off the days after using the portrait of Bharat Mat Raj Bhavan for environmental events, the CPI leadership, the second largest coalition partner in the ruling LDF, strongly protested.
The leader of the CPI and the Minister of Agriculture Prasad, who boycotted this event, said that people in the constitutional authorities cannot transfer government programs to political events.
A similar view was also expressed by the leader of CPI (M) and General Minister of Education in Sivankutty.
But the governor justified this act and showed that “regardless of the pressure from any quarter, there will be no compromise on Bharaat Mat at all.”
