Every vote submitted to Bharatiya Janata (BJP) will destroy Keral’s unique identity and the society should be aware of it, said Chief Minister Pinaayi Vijayan.
On Wednesday, he stated that the Seminar called “The Future of Secularism and Federalism” on the Indian State Conference (CPI) in Alappuzha said that the wide unified front should be opposed to the politics of Sangh Parivar and BJP. The main minister also called for unity.

“Federalism is undermined”
Mr. Vijayan said that the constitution gave states distinct powers, but there was an effort to get rid of them. “In states where BJP is not in power, governors are used to undermine federalism. The Union government takes measures that weaken federalism. The center extends to the powers of states. It will also try to deposit Hindi to all states,” he said.
The main minister said that states were denied and pushed into financial difficulties. “The central policy is that alternative models should not be carried out. When the development has been achieved in Kerala through the Keral Investment Fund (KIIFB), the Union government was looking for ways to block it.
Revision of GST
He said that the revision of the tax on goods and services (GST) was to be carried out by the GST Council. “However, the Council was completely irrelevant and the revision was directly announced. Because of this revision, Kerala will cause a loss of 10,000 crore every year,” the main minister said.
Mr. Vijayan said that communism was promoted together with the execution of a politician preferring companies. “The Union’s government ignores the protection of minorities and takes attitude against minority communities, including Muslims and Christians,” he said.
The main minister said the proposed one nation, one election would destroy federalism. “The attempts to subvert elections are made. Even the Election Commission is influenced. Sangh Parivar is trying to make the judiciary favorable for them,” he said, adding that requirements for India’s statement have been made for the Hindu nation.
