Two individuals were arrested by the Gachibowli Police after they arrested a prostitution extortionist from a flat in Kondapur during a joint raid conducted on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Acting on a tip-off, the Gachibowli police and anti-trafficking squad raided a flat at Sai Balaji Cubicle Apartment in Raghavendra Colony, Kondapur. During the operation, two women and three men were taken into custody.
The masterminds were identified as Shaik Anwar alias Vijay, 32, a native of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, and Sairigapu Gayatri, 26, both residents of the same flat where the illegal activity took place. Investigation revealed that the duo was involved in organizing and facilitating prostitution from the premises.
Among the other detainees were two customers, Pallapu Vamshi Krishna, 25, a systems hardware engineer working in Ameerpet and a resident of Yousufguda, and Ponnapati Raja Reddy, 24, a private employee living in Kukatpally. A 24-year-old woman from Lingampalla has been identified as the victim.
Both organizers were brought to court and taken into custody on February 5. Further investigation of the case is ongoing.
