
Andhra Pradesh Tribal Minister of Social Care Gummadi Sandyarani on Monday 22nd September) informed the assembly that the government had prepared proposals for statements of 496 villages, where the tribal population exceeds 50%, according to the planned areas. The proposals are currently being examined.
The Minister, who answered the question of Satyanarayan Murtha Bandar, said that the Indian government has set criteria for the planned areas that include a higher tribal population, administrative comfort such as a district or block unit, reasonable size and relative economic backwardness compared to neighboring regions.
She explained that such proposals were first sent by district collectors to the Tribal Andhra Pradesh Tribal Advisory Council, then handed over to the State Cabinet and finally submitted through the Governor to the Ministry of the Union.
Mrs. Sandyarani said that from the district collector Anakapalli had been requested a report on the inclusion of certain villages in the election district of Madugula according to the planned areas. She noted that nine grams of Panchayat were identified, including 60 villages with more than 25,000 tribal inhabitants.
The Minister stressed that this year the state assigned 8,159 GBP Crore for tribal well -being. The key initiatives include the construction of 1,069 km of roads within the Adavi Thalli Baata for the price of 1 005 Crore, the establishment of the BSNL towers with 3.45 GBP Crore and providing 200 electricity units on the family under the scheme of Babu Jagjivan RAM.
She repeated the commitment of the government to improve education, health, employment, transport and basic infrastructure for the tribal communities and added that in the future several social care programs would be introduced.
