
The State Regulatory Commission for Electricity Keral (KSERC) will organize public hearing in July in the online regime on the proposal of KSERC (renewable energy and related matters), 2025.
The Commission, headed by TK Jose, stated that the proposal published on its website 30 May has already issued comments from the parties. Most respondents wanted a network measurement system (NMS) to continue for existing famous. The Commission noted that the proposal of the Regulation contained the provisions that the existing famous NMS will continue to be billed.
While the decision to walk online with hearing has triggered criticism from the section, the Commission justified it and stated that the online regime would guarantee more participating parties from the whole state.

The Commission asked the stakeholders who want to participate in hearing to register online in the registration window, will be open until 17:00 4 July. Details are available on the website of the commission www.erkerala.org.
The purpose of the new regulations is to replace the KSERC regulations (renewable energy and network measurement), 2020, the period of which expired in 2024-25. According to the Commission, this proposal seeks to integrate the emerging trends in renewable energy sources “” in accordance with the wider objectives of support for renewable energy development, ensuring the stability of the grid and supporting sustainable energy procedures. ”
It emphasizes energy storage systems and seeks to classify prosumery according to different billing methods and settlement. This proposal also represents concepts such as energy trading in Peer-to-Pper (P2P) and vehicle integration (V2G) in the rapidly growing branch of the renewable energy of Kerala.
