Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents executed a search warrant on Wednesday (local time) at a home associated with Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, Wreg reported, citing sources.
A federal court authorized the search and an arrest warrant was issued at a home associated with the rapper, according to an FBI public affairs official. Citing a home deed, the report lists Lontrell D. Williams, also known as Pooh Shiesty, as the owner.
There are no details on why his home was searched.
AND messageciting the FBI, said agents were serving “court-authorized warrants” at 9190 Beaver Valley Ln. on the morning of April 1st. The property is listed as having been purchased by Pooh Shiesty in April 2023.
The FBI would not confirm the names of those it has served warrants on, saying the U.S. attorney’s office has discretion on how to name those targeted in the investigation. “This office generally will not confirm the existence of or otherwise comment on ongoing investigations until and unless formal charges are publicly filed,” said U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee Mike Dunavant.
In early October of last year, Shiesty was released from a federal prison in Pennsylvania, where he had been serving a 63-month sentence. He was sentenced in 2023 after pleading guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge in connection with a 2020 shooting at a Florida hotel. The plea deal helped him avoid a longer sentence.
