Project to convert Kuthiravattom Mental Health Facility into a ‘Happiness Centre’

VK Fyzal Babu, Kozhikode South MLA, proposed to convert the government’s mental health center at Kuthirvattom here into a ‘mental happiness centre’.

A detailed project report for the purpose was handed over to Health Minister K. Muraleedharan at the launch of the government’s ‘Kayakalpam’ initiative at the state level on Tuesday (June 9). The project aims to develop facilities that will create a psychologically relaxing atmosphere for prisoners along with providing modern treatment methods. Environmental renovation work will also be started, said a press release from the MLA’s office.
