The Kamalpur College Tripura Government Professor in the Dhalai district was suspended after a supposed video that he was intimate with a viral student on social media, PTI reported.
The report added that the video caused massive outrage across the state and the Government College ordered the investigation of this matter.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Education of the State said that the professor confessed to the incident and said it was “a mistake on his part to be involved in an inappropriate act”.
The Ministry of Education also added that the professor failed to observe the dignity, sanctity and decorum of the institution by committing such an act. He also failed from the grace of the teaching profession.
The professor will be based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar College in Belonia South Tripura, the office said.
