On Saturday, the Karnataka High Court ordered the Pilot of the State Government and the Karnataka Examination Office (Kea) on a petition that questioned the actions of officials who forced some students to remove their “Janivar” (“sacred threads”) before allowing them to enter the investigation hall) -2025.
The divisional bench, which consists of the main judge of the NV Anjaria and the Justice KV ARAVIND, approved an order for the petition filed by Karnataka Brahman Mahasabha, Bengalurur.
“If it is found that what is mentioned is correct, the accused made in the petition are susceptible to taking serious dimensions regarding the violations of the cultural religious rights of students,” the bench said, admitting that some students were forced to eliminate their “sacred threads” that students were frightened as part of their ancient religious and cultural practices.
The head of the advocate Sriranga S., who appeared with Sumana Naganand and Ashwini N. Ravindra, claimed that “Janivar” was removed in three centers in Shivamogg, Dharwad and Bidar Districts.
The first information report was registered with the Police in Sagar, in the district of Shivamogg in connection with one such incident 21 April, Mr. Sriranga stressed.
Meanwhile, it was emphasized in the petition that the people belonging to Brahmin, Khatriya and Vaishya wore “Janivar” as part of their religious practices.
The petitioner was also looking for the direction of the State Government to formulate the instructions for the calling of candidates officials at the time of joining the exam centers and launching strict steps against officials who prevented students from entering the Halls to write CET.
When the head of the lawyer was looking for the direction of the state government and Kea to take re -examination for those who had become the victims of such an unlawful act to remove their “Janivary”, the bench said that the petitioner would have to justify the accusation of providing the necessary materials and information such as students, etc.
However, the bench said that “what weighs in court is the average in the petition that those students who refused to remove” Janivar “were not allowed to enter the investigation hall and deprive themselves of investigation.”
