Several parts of northern and central kerals will witness active monsoon conditions in the next few days, which are affected by a low -pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
Mild to heavy monsoon activity is probably in most parts of the state, with the exception of the southernmost districts, in the remaining days of August.
According to the weather bolder issued by the Indian meteorological department (IMD), the low -pressure area has formed over the Bay of Northwest Bay of Odisha. The system is expected to consolidate and it is likely that it will move to the western-nerifically and will become more significant over the next two days, the Bulletin said. This is likely to reiterate the weak westerlies that prevail over the region, and cause heavy rainfall along the basic monsoon areas of the west coast of the country, including North and Central Keraral.
For nine districts, a yellow warning was released – Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Idukki – in the center, where the precipitation is in the range of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm.
Unlikely in September
It is unlikely that severe precipitation will exceed until September, as the system is expected to weaken after the initial amplification.
Currently, Kerala has 15% lack of precipitation during the ongoing southwestern monsoon season. Although the deficiency could not be completely deleted, it is expected that an active increase during the Moon stand will reduce it to some extent. From August 26, the state received 1,430 mm rain against a diameter of 1,691.7 during this period, which is a shortage of 15%.
