Karnataka, Biotechnology and Rural Development and Minister Panchayat Raj Priyank Kharge said on Saturday that the Ministry of External Affairs decided to grant him permission to visit the United States. The application for the same was rejected earlier.
In the X, Mr. Kharge explained that he sought permission on May 15 for his American travel to represent the government from 14 to 27 June at two main global forums and organize 25 official meetings with the best companies, universities and institutions for cooperation and investment playground. It was rejected and he wrote to the Ministry who was looking for a valid explanation to reject him permission to travel to the US on the planned official journey.
On June 16, the permission was finally granted, 36 days after his initial request, and five days after his planned departure, he pointed to the X.
“On June 19, I addressed at a press conference, spread out full chronology, questioned the foundation of rejection, and raised concerns about possible political intervention. The matter was widely reported in the media.
Mr. Kharge said that after the key events he was supposed to participate, there were little to be above or approaching.
