Attracting BJP over demand for the CBI probe to the death of his worker, rural development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge said on Sunday that it was in the habit of politicizing death, and that it would also join the long list of deaths over which BJP tried the political advantage.
“Do you consider WhatsApp a message to be a note about death? Even if you did it, does it name the lawmaker of Congress as Ponnanna and Manthar Gowda? They (BJP) want to maintain their identity and their leaders want to please the high command by politicizing death,” Mr. Kharge said here. He pointed to previous cases in which he said BJP indulged politics over death.
The Minister said the investigation was going and the truth came out when it is completed. “Was there someone, including legislators, opposed the investigation? CBI wrote to the State Government and said he was under stress and could not handle more cases. He sought staff and vehicles from the state. He doesn’t know about it?”
He said, “When there was suicide, there was my name that committed suicide? They organized a huge protest in Kalaburagag. They followed?
The Minister also pointed to the earlier announcement of Bengaluru South MP Tejaswi Surya on the establishment of a help line that helps BJP workers. “Does his leader remember the help number of help? Can how many complaints about the harassment of the Congress government have been filed?”
Meanwhile, Interior Minister G. Parameshware also told reporters that there was no need for a CBI spacecraft and that the state police could handle it.
