After the quiet start of Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 on Friday, August 8, Priyank Arya yelled back into formation with a breathtaking century against the Eastern Delhi riders. The left -hander opened for the outer warriors in Delhi and hammered 111 of only 56 balls and peppered his shifts by seven and nine and six. His attack was driven by warriors to 231/7 and ertied his name in record books as the first player in the history of DPL, which won more than a hundred.
Arya, Standout Artist in 2024, accumulated 608 runs in 10 shifts on average 67.56 and a strike rate of almost 200 – numbers that earned him a contract with Pandjab Kings at 2025 Mega. His debut season IPL lived up to Humbuk: 475 runs in 17 shifts in a blister blow of 179.25, including 103 against Chennai Super Kings and the best season 141, plays a key role in Pandjab’s run to the finals under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer.
However, this season of DPL has not completely fled for Arya. Scores 26, 16 and 8 in his first three trips indicated slow accumulation than fireworks for which he is known. However, he released his full reach against the Eastern Delhi riders. After the early release of Sanat Sangwan, Arya created a 92-run from 46 balls with Karan Garg, who joined from 24 supplies with a smooth 43. Arya focused on Rohit Yadav and Raunak Waghela and plundered 64 runs from only 28 balls. In the 17th century he raised his century before he fell into Akhil Chaudhary, while in the last section he promoted fast runs.
Despite the brilliance of Arya, the joy of warriors was short -term. East Delhi riders mounted sensational persecution, headed by former RCB dough Anu Rawat, which broke 84 out of 35 balls with nine six. Mayank Rawat used finishing touches with an undefeated 32 out of only 11 supplies, led the riders to the greatest successful persecution of the DPL 2025 season and handed the warriors the third defeat.
For Arya it was the result of bittersweet. Already among the leading shooters of the tournament, his latest knocking was a reminder of why he is considered one of the most destructive doughs in the Indian home cricket T20 – a performance that ensured his place in the history of DPL, even though the points went the opposite.
